Sounds like an automated voice to me. I got all mixed up trying to respond with random answers.

Got a robocall today with a synthetic voice asking me questions about mould and damp in my home. They never said who they were or what firm they represented, and it was annoying as they kept calling even though I’m on the do not call list.

I got a call from some automated voice that sounded totally fake, like it wasn’t human at all. When I asked it to say something again, it repeated it just the same way, with the exact same rhythm and tone. Then I asked, “Are you an AI?” and the call dropped right away.

I use So Energy and have blocked this number straight away but they keep ringin me loads of times. I also keep ignoring all the texts and emails they send wanting me to get one of those smart meters fitted.

Got a call from SO Energy about setting up a smart meter install, which I’m not interested in. The guy kept pushing, but I finally just ended the call on him.

I picked up and just said “stick it where the sun don’t shine” and they just ended the call straight away. Pretty odd really. We use so energy but they never said their name or what they wanted, just those few words then off the line. Strange behaviour.

We get tons of spam calls, and the answerphone helps filter who’s serious by only those who bother to leave a message. Didn’t catch the call in time and no message was left. We’re also with So Energy. When it comes to BT, I can block them easily, and anyone legit usually sends us a letter. Seems like old-fashioned methods are still the best way to handle these annoying calls.

I got a call from a polite sounding young woman asking about the repairs on my house. I wasn’t very nice in return. That was definitely a dodgy scam call.

This number keeps ringing me up all the time but never drops a voicemail. From what I’ve read here, I reckon it might be So Energy hassling about a Smart Meter. I actually got in touch with So Energy to ask them to quit calling me about this, but they reckon it’s not them 'cause they say they wouldn’t call that often. I’m not sure if it’s really So Energy or some kind of scam. Either way, it’s really annoying and something definitely isn’t right.

Got a call from SO Energy supposedly about fitting a smart meter, but they were asking loads of personal stuff. I said I’d ring SO Energy directly to sort the appointment, not risking some dodgy scammer on the phone. They just seemed confused and actually laughed it off.

So, So Energy has been hassling me to get a smart meter installed because I’m a customer. Installing one is really up to you though. Unless your plan specifically says you have to, you can say no. What really winds me up is that even after telling them I’m not interested, they just keep calling. I guess they’ve got some government quota to meet, trying to get loads of people on smart meters to help cut carbon emissions or something.
