I just spoke to a lady who only had my first name and started asking about my electricity charges and who my provider is, claiming my bills had gone up (which they haven’t at all). She tried to argue when I refused to give my address. I was pretty clear I didn’t want to carry on the call. Best not to pick up, seems like a total scam.

This number called me, and the guy said he was from an energy company in England. I asked him which one, and he said Bright Energy. I was like, alright mate, but you're probably a scammer, right? He denied it, but I heard others in the background telling him to hang up, and then he did. I blocked the number straight away. Honestly, don’t share any info or bank details with these lot - just hang up and block them so they can’t bother you again.

Got a call from a woman, sounded Asian, said she found my number 'cause I’m on a prepaid meter. I asked who she was, she said some new energy firm. Asked her to confirm my details, then she just hung up. I called back and straight up asked if she was a scammer, she said no. Could hear a baby crying in the background - typical foreign scammer, especially at a time like this.
