Got a text claiming to be from Santander saying a payment of £1299.99 was arranged. It asked me to ring a number if I hadn’t approved it. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

I got a text that looked proper official, saying it was from Lloyds Bank about a payment they’d just made to someone new. But the phone number they gave me was different from the one on the back of my debit card, so I didn’t ring it. When I called Lloyds using their normal number, they told me straight away it was a scam. Just watch out for messages like this!

I got a message saying it was from Lloyds bank about a payment of £129999 apparently being arranged, telling me to ring a number. Seems like a classic bank fraud trick. I saw the same sort of text from nearly the same number only a couple of days ago.

Got a call asking me for a one time passcode to confirm a £1299.99 payment. They told me to phone that number back if I hadn’t made the purchase. I checked with my credit card provider and they said no one from them had sent any code. Ended up blocking the number. Would seriously advise steering clear of this.
