Just had a rather suspicious message from the number 07874657903, claiming to be from Santander. It contained a one-off passcode for a payment of £707.59 to AIRBNB - JL9210A. It urged me to ring their fraud team on 03309120211 if it wasn't me making the transaction. It seems like quite a dodgy scam to be honest, trying to get me to contact their so-called fraud team. Definitely not from Santander, so stay vigilant!

I've flagged this number as SPAM on my phone via 7726. The number 03309120211 keeps messaging me with these so-called one-time call passwords, which is entirely dodgy since they don’t disclose who they are. After that, they try to coax you into ringing an expensive phone line. What a con!

This message appears to be designed to look like it's from Santander, stating something along the lines of: "Santander; Your One Time Passcode is 083621 for a payment of £707.59 to AIRBNB - Reference: JL9210A. If this transaction wasn’t initiated by you, please contact our fraud team at 0330 912 0211." However, I'm convinced that this number isn't linked to their legitimate fraud department. I’ll be reaching out to their proper fraud team to report this!

I’ve received a message from that very same number too. The sum they’re asking for and the reference ID match perfectly with what others have noted. It’s clearly a dodgy number since others have flagged it as fraudulent as well.
