Got a call from some scam lot asking if I owed money, then they acted like they were from a proper debt charity trying to push me into an IVA deal. Just ignore them, block the number, and put a report on this site - the more people report, the better chance the call will be flagged as a scam on your phone. Don’t get tricked, and never share your personal details!

Got a call from some scammer claiming I owed money and saying they were from a proper debt help charity. They tried to pressure me into signing up for an IVA. I just hung up and blocked the number. Make sure you report these calls here too, the more reports the better chance they get flagged as fraud. Never share any of your details with them, it’s all a trick!

BEWARE of scammers claiming to be from StepChange Debt Charity! They’re actually from CLEAR START ACCOUNTANTS, pretending to be the charity - it’s a total con. They often use names like Peter Munroe or Frank Maccalan. Don’t get tricked by this fraud. Real StepChange would never ring you out of the blue, threaten you with CCJs, or ask you to lie. Just block the number and be safe!
