Got a bunch of annoying calls poppin up all the time. It's so frustrating!

I received a call from someone masquerading as a representative from Monzo’s fraud team, claiming there were dubious transactions being carried out with my card on Amazon. It seems like there’s been a leak of information related to Amazon account holders. I clarified that I only unfreeze my card just to make a payment and then immediately lock it back up. Coincidentally, I had bought a book on Amazon the day before, so I suspect my details were compromised during that purchase. Just to clarify, Monzo does not reach out to customers via phone calls unless it’s been previously arranged through a notification on the app. In short, it’s best to never engage with your bank regarding any sensitive matters unless you’ve set up the appointment beforehand.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Curries broadband, they even used my name and said they could boost my internet speed and give me a better deal than what I’ve got now. Didn’t fall for it though.

Over the last couple of days, this number has rung me thrice. I managed to pick up two of those times, and both times the call just got cut off right away. No messages or anything left behind either. Honestly, I have no clue who they are, but I’d advise against picking up if this number pops up.

Don’t pick up, just block. I got a robotic message saying it was from Currys, but when I tried ringing back nothing happened so I just ended the call. Definitely just block them straight away!
