Got a txt from a number I didn’t recognise claiming to be from HSBC about adding a card with a Google Play code. I’ve never had any dealings with HSBC, so it’s pretty fishy. The number that sent the text doesn’t show up anywhere in my call history or contacts. The phone number linked to it looks dodgy too, so I reckon this is probably a scam. Definitely suspicious since I’ve got no links to that bank.

I got this random text on my phone from the number 07377 931977 with some kind of code for adding an HSBC card to Google Pay. It said if I wasn’t the one asking for it, to ring up an 0330 number. Thing is, I’ve never had an HSBC card, so this whole thing seems a bit dodgy to me.
