I've received a rather suspicious text that purports to be from NatWest. It states that my passcode is 492373 for a transaction of £152.99 made to someone named P Khan. The message insists that if I didn't authorise this, I should reach out to their supposed fraud helpline at 03308186291 with the reference RG832. The kicker? I've never even held an account with NatWest! Quite the dodgy situation, if you ask me.

Sadly, you can’t report scam numbers or scam tries directly through the police’s 'action fraud' phishing form anymore. Still, it’s worth having a look at the action fraud phishing page for some extra info. If you’ve actually lost money to a scam, you should call [email protected]' is another way to help, or simply forwarding the text to 7726 works too.

Same story for me - payment to P Khan with the same reference number. Trouble is, I don’t even have an account with NatWest! What a bunch of muppets!

Got a call pretending to be from NatWest about a payment to P Khan. Total scam, best just to hang up and forget about it.

Like what some folks mentioned before, I got a call from someone saying they were from NatWest asking if I could confirm a payment of £152.99 supposedly for P. Khan. They handed me a number for their fraud team, which was 03308186291.

Got a text from Natwest saying my passcode is 4xxxxx for 152.99GBP payment to P KHAN. It also told me to call their fraud team on 03308186291 if I didn't authorise it. Obviously, this is a total scam.

Got a text from 07654 690820 saying: "MSG From Natwest: Your one-time passcode is 4xxxxx for a payment of £152.99 to P KHAN. If you didnt authorise this, ring the fraud team on 03308186291 REF:RG832". Definitely a scam, dont trust it!

Got this text saying "Natwest: Your passcode is 492373 for a payment of 152.99GBP to P KHAN. If this wasn’t you, ring our fraud team on 03308186291 REF:RG832." Problem is, I don’t have any account with Natwest, and also they didn’t even capitalise the W in NatWest which makes it look even fishier.

Got a text claiming to be from ‘SANTNDER’ with a one-time password for an Argos order costing £543.54. It said the OTP was 485930 and told me to ring 03308186291 if I didn’t make the order. Seems dodgy to me, so I didn’t respond.
