Today this number rang me but I didn’t answer since I didn’t recognise it. I decided to check here to find out who it might be, and thanks to you kind folks, I got the info I needed. Looking back at my missed calls, turns out they first tried reaching me on 17th January - quite determined! In the end, I blocked the number. Cheers to everyone here for helping out, keep it up!

Got a call today from someone claiming to be from the tax department - total scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC and that if I didn’t hit 1, I’d be arrested straight away. I didn’t press anything, so no idea what would've happened if I did.
