Got a text from +44 7341 205809 saying: Santander: There’s a direct debit of 750.00 to Bilal Mohamed set to come out of your account on 05/03. If this isn’t you, ring 0330 818 2108. It was really worrying since I actually bank with Santander, but when I checked the app, there was no such payment scheduled. Big thanks to everyone sharing info here as it helped me spot this scam. I’ve also contacted Santander to let them know.

Just like loads of others here, I got a call claiming to be from Santander about a £750 direct debit payment to someone called Bilal Mohamed. At first, it sounded legit because I do have an account with Santander. But after seeing what other people posted, I figured it’s a scam. Really glad I didn’t fall for it!
