03308088929 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03308088929 👆 is reported as a mixed-case number linked to NHS hospital appointment calls, specifically Blackpool Victoria Hospital and the Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS chatbot. Some users confirm it as a genuine automated system following up on outpatient treatments or waiting lists, with prior text notifications and security checks limited to date of birth. However, multiple reports describe it as a persistent, harassing scam involving impersonation of hospital staff, unsolicited calls despite no awaiting treatment, attempts to extract personal details, and unreturned callback attempts. Due to conflicting experiences and ongoing investigations by the hospital, callers are advised to verify independently with their healthcare provider before sharing any information and to exercise caution with unexpected calls from this number.

Watch out! Got targeted by a SIM swap scam. They tried to hijack my number. Proper dodgy stuff.

Got a call from some scammer about an O2 account I’ve never had. Proper annoying!

I don't think this is a scam at all. Before the phone call, I actually got a text message telling me to expect the call. At first, it was an automated message, but since I’ve been waiting to see an ENT specialist, they confirmed it was about that waiting list. After answering a security question, which was just my birthdate, I was connected to someone from NHS referrals. So yeah, for sure not a scam in my experience.

I can assure you, this is not a fraudulent call. It’s definitely a legitimate NHS number.

Got a dodgy call supposedly from Blackpool Victoria hospital, trying to blag my personal info. Rang the hospital myself and they said it wasn’t them at all, just a scam. Makes me suspicious about those two positive reviews above - could they be from the scammers themselves?

I've encountered a fraudulent number here. I’ve confirmed this through Blackpool NHS. What raises eyebrows, as others have mentioned, is that they possess some details that lend an air of credibility to their ruse.

Got a text from some chatbot tied to Blackpool and a few hospitals I’m waitlisted at. They said I’d get a message telling me what number they’d ring from before they actually call. Bit weird, but at least you know who’s bugging you.

A couple of days back, I received a text about an outpatient appointment. Then, a robocall came through, but I didn’t pick up since I wasn’t certain if it was legit or just a scam.

Hospitals have started testing a new setup lately. First, they send a text telling u what number they'll call u from, then they actually ring about a week later. Their job is to check u still need the appointments since ur on a waiting list. They've had some glitches but r working through them. This has been launched in places like Blackburn, Blackpool, and Preston.

Definitely no scam, it was just a call from a nearby hospital.

I’d been expecting a phone call from this number to confirm if I still required treatment. When it rang, I picked up but the call dropped straight away. I tried ringing back a few times but it just wouldn’t connect. Then I contacted the eye department at my local hospital and they told me they don’t use automatic calls. I really need this treatment, so what’s the next step? They already have my details but no appointments have been arranged yet.

After seeing what others said about this number, I decided not to pick up. If it was something important, I’m guessing they’d follow up with a letter anyway. With all the phone scams happening lately, it just seems fishy. My advice? Just don’t bother answering and you won’t end up getting caught out.

Got a text from Blackpool teaching hospital saying they had an urgent message and would be calling me about an outpatient appointment I’m supposedly waiting for. Problem is, I’m not actually waiting for any treatment. When I rang the number back, it was one of those automated recordings asking if I wanted to continue, and I had to reply with yes or no. Bit confusing really.

Got a call and left a voicemail saying they were from my real hospital. They knew my name, where I live, and even details about my treatment. They asked me to confirm some personal info. I reckon they gathered all this from an order I made with a company called ORTONYX on Amazon.

Received a voice message followed by a phone call, purporting to be from my local hospital (Blackpool). They had my name, address, and were well aware of my current treatment. They requested that I confirm some personal information. It seems likely they've cobbled together this data from an order I made with a company called ORTONYX through Amazon.

For the last fortnight, this number has been ringing me daily. As an outpatient at NHS Blackpool, I was a bit unsure whether it might be some kind of scam. I tried returning the call, but I was met with a robotic voice. I've since decided to block it entirely.

Claiming to be from a hospital, but let's be honest here - hospitals don’t typically leave voicemails. I'm well aware of the number associated with our local hospital, so my gut tells me this is just another scam.

I've received multiple calls from this number, claiming to represent NSS Blackpool Teaching Hospitals regarding an outpatient appointment. However, when I try to return the call, it only rings twice before abruptly disconnecting. I'm starting to suspect this might be a scam operation.
