I got a call from some outfit called Legal Expenses Services or something along those lines. They claimed they had a file on me based on info from the motor insurance database, saying I’d been in an accident sometime in the past two years. I told the woman on the phone that they must have got it wrong, and she said she’d make sure the file was closed. Later on, I rang the motor insurance bureau, and they told me this kind of thing happens all the time and that they definitely don’t share that sort of info with companies like that.

I’m really confused how this company ended up with my number, it’s always been kept private and only shared with close friends and family. Why would 2272 have it?

She never said which accident it was about, just mentioned something about an api and told me I'd continue to get calls. When I asked them to take my info off their list, they just cut the call.
