A woman rang me using my maiden name, saying I’d been in an ‘accident’ sometime in the last 2 years. When I asked where she got that from, she claimed it was from the MIB. I mentioned GDPR and she seemed clueless. Then she got my name wrong, and when I pointed it out, she just said, "why keep the call going and waste time?" and hung up on me! So apparently it’s us, the public, who are wasting their time, not them with all their made-up rubbish. They’d be better off finding proper jobs instead of helping these dodgy traders.

No idea who was calling me. I didn’t pick up the phone. After reading the comments here, glad I didn’t. If it rings again, I’m just gonna ignore and probably block. I hardly ever answer calls from numbers I don’t recognise, especially if no name shows up. Same goes for calls marked as ‘unavailable’ - I never pick those up either.
