Hey all, these horrible people somehow got £770 off me and I’m totally stressed out about it. I’m really struggling to handle this. Has anyone had any success in getting their money returned, or can anyone share some tips on how I might get mine back?

On Friday, the 18th of November, I fell victim to a scam and lost £70. They promised me a loan and requested the money upfront, but I never received a penny. When I attempted to call them to reclaim my funds, I was met with an avalanche of foul language. It's truly disheartening, particularly as a single mother; I’m absolutely furious about the whole ordeal!

I got a call from them saying I owed £70. I ended up giving them my bank details, like my account number and sort code. I’m worried now if they can do anything with that info. At first, the girl on the phone told me their bank was NatWest but then quickly corrected herself and said it was Lloyds. They even gave me their bank details and told me to go to my own bank and transfer the £70 to their account number 17983768, sort code 30-84-48. Feels dodgy to me.

This one’s a proper con. People from abroad pretending to be everyday folks with names like Robert or David Jones. I was lucky they only managed to swindle me out of £80 - with Christmas coming up, I really didn’t need that. I've told my bank, the bank where their account is held, and also flagged it up with Action Fraud. Fingers crossed these crooks get nabbed and everyone gets their dosh back.

i got ripped off for £660 by this lot. i’ve reported it and the fraud team are trying to track these crooks down. dont even bother talking to them. i spoke to a guy called justin samuels and he basically admitted taking my cash. they’re no good, they won’t lend you anything. i’m not giving up till they’re caught and everyone gets their money back. it’s a total disgrace!

I've been absolutely ripped off by these utter charlatans who have swindled me out of £660! It was all linked to a loan that I inquired about. A bloke named Justin Samuels-most likely a fictitious alias-was the one who kept pestering me with calls. They made a whole load of promises and even mentioned that our conversations were being recorded. Can you believe it? I'm completely appalled. As a single parent, losing £660 is a massive blow. When I rang them today, that Justin Samuels had the audacity to say he’s spent my cash, hence there's no chance of a refund. Thankfully, I recorded the call. This is just unacceptable. If you’re considering using their services, I implore you to steer clear of these con artists and help get them brought to justice immediately!

Beware of that “loan” outfit, it’s a total con. They start by sending you some cash to build trust, but then expect you to return it. After that, the calls never end and they try to empty your bank account.

never pick up calls from these people or agree to any loans they offer. they’re con artists and they’ll just end up stealing every penny you’ve got!

I got a call about a loan for £4500, but the person wouldn't say what company they were from. I asked a few times for details, but they just told me to ring them back. I ended up ignoring the call after that.
