I received a call from someone purporting to be from Lloyds plc. They informed me that there had been an attempt to withdraw £479.99 from my eBay account, which my bank had blocked. They insisted that if I didn't recognise this transaction, I needed to call the given number straight away. Concerned about the hefty sum involved, I dashed to my local branch, but alas, it had just closed five minutes prior to my arrival. To ease my mind, I checked the cash machine for a bank statement, which revealed no suspicious activity whatsoever. Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be Angi, saying it was about a washing machine warranty. When I asked who she was and what the call was for, she said warranty stuff, but we don't have one. She also asked if I was Mrs X straight away, which made me sure it was a scam since she seemed to have a list and was guessing. Told her she’d got the wrong number and hung up. Over the last few months, our landline here in LANARKSHIRE has been hit by at least a dozen different numbers tied to this D.& G. SCAM. How come these scammers can still get phone companies to give them the tools to cheat people?? If any of us messed up our phone usage or missed payments, we'd get cut off straight away. Got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying my washing machine warranty had run out.

Got a silent call first, then a voice with a kinda American accent said I could leave a message by pressing 1, and that whatever I said would be played back to me in real time. Or if I wanted more info, press 2. I just hung up. Pretty sure this was the first time I’ve received a call from that number. I’m in Shrewsbury, UK.

An Indian woman called me and knew my name. She said she was from D&G about my washing machine warranty. I told her no thanks. I havent blocked the number tho, but they have phoned me before from different numbers.

No one said a word, it was just dead silent.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent at around 12.15 on 18/2/21 saying she was from Microsoft and that my PC had been compromised by overseas hackers. Definitely a scam. Ended the call straight away.
