I called them back and asked loads of questions but never shared any details, so they just ended the call. Then I contacted my bank using my app, and they told me it was definitely a scam!

I got a call from this number saying they were from Lloyds plc. They told me that EBay.com tried to take out £479.99 but my bank stopped the payment. They said if I hadn’t approved it, I needed to call them back on that number. Since it sounded serious, I went over to my local branch but unfortunately it shut just a few minutes before I got there. So I used the ATM to check my statement and saw there was no suspicious activity. Even so, I’m planning to ask the bank for a new debit card just to be safe.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be Angi, saying it was about a washing machine warranty. When I asked who she was and what the call was for, she said warranty stuff, but we don't have one. She also asked if I was Mrs X straight away, which made me sure it was a scam since she seemed to have a list and was guessing. Told her she’d got the wrong number and hung up. Over the last few months, our landline here in LANARKSHIRE has been hit by at least a dozen different numbers tied to this D.& G. SCAM. How come these scammers can still get phone companies to give them the tools to cheat people?? If any of us messed up our phone usage or missed payments, we'd get cut off straight away. This bloke had a really thick South Asian accent and totally butchered my name. I just told him to piss off and ended the call.

Got a call from an unknown number today but didn’t pick up, let it ring through to voicemail and there was no message left.

Got a call first thing this morning but when I picked up, there was no one speaking. Seems like one of those automated callers, so I’m guessing it’s spam.

An Indian woman called me and knew my name. She said she was from D&G about my washing machine warranty. I told her no thanks. I havent blocked the number tho, but they have phoned me before from different numbers.

Got a call from 03307771473 and it felt a bit dodgy to be honest.

No one said a word, it was just dead silent.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent at around 12.15 on 18/2/21 saying she was from Microsoft and that my PC had been compromised by overseas hackers. Definitely a scam. Ended the call straight away.
