Phone number ☎️ 03306782698 👆 is reported as a mixed bag with many users confirming it as a genuine Santander number linked to their mobile payments or digital banking support, especially relating to Google Pay cancellations on old devices. However, there are numerous warnings about very convincing scam emails and texts using this number to trick people into divulging personal info or calling back. Santander staff have verified the number for some users, yet others experienced dead lines or fraudulent contact claiming to be from Santander. The confusion stems from poorly worded official messages, frequent spoofing by scammers, and a lack of clear communication from the bank, leading to uncertainty about legitimacy. I got a call with a robotic voice saying there was an attempt to log into a crypto account from an unknown gadget, and it told me to hit 1 to talk to an agent. Pretty sure it's just a scam trying to trick people.

I actually checked directly with my nearby Santander branch and they confirmed this number is real and belongs to their mobile payments team.

I phoned this number after spotting it linked to Santander and used a trusted contact line I had. They did verify the digits and assured me it’s definitely legitimate. So yeah, it seems like an authentic Santander number.

At first, I thought this call was genuine but Santander really should explain that it’s about disabling Google Pay on an old gadget. It caught me off guard and I got a bit nervous when I saw it pop up. I had changed my phone some months back, so seeing other people mention it had to do with previous devices made me relax a bit and believe it was legit. Santander definitely ought to be clearer on which device Google Pay is being turned off for, cause it’s really confusing and almost feels like a scam.

Got a message and an email supposedly from Santander saying my Google Pay was cancelled. It looked quite convincing at first. They wanted me to ring a number, but I searched the number on here before calling. Turns out it’s a total scam. Watch out for stuff like this!

Got a message saying my Google Pay account was cancelled, came as both an email and a text. They gave me a number to ring, but obviously it’s a total scam. Watch out for this one, it’s fake!

Santander really did send me a proper email....... I called a different number and after a bit they said it’s for my OLD device... If the letter just said OLD right away, I would have double checked if my card was still active....

No need to worry, this isn’t some kind of scam! The email I got had the number 0330 678 2698, which isn’t the usual Santander mainline, that one is 0330 912 3123. That first number belongs to their mobile payments department. Basically, the message was to tell me my card was taken off an old payment account (like Samsung Pay on my previous phone) because I hadn’t used it for 90 days. Your actual card is fine and still works perfectly. If you’re unsure, just ring Santander’s main number and they’ll confirm they sent the email and explain everything like I just did.

I never actually rang them, but I checked the email they sent and it turns out it's a scam. The Google Pay message you received is totally fake. If you want to see for yourself, just search for "is [email protected] a scam email" and you’ll find it says exactly that.

I got messages and emails and it was really tough to spot it was a scam, except for the dodgy phone number which kinda gave it away.

Nearly fell for this scam but luckily I listened to my instincts. Got a message and an email out of the blue, one at 1:30 in the morning and another close to 10:30 the following evening. Bit strange times, right? The email looked pretty legit with my full name and the last four digits of my card, but I was certain my Google Pay was still active and secure. So, I looked up the number and spotted lots of suspicious feedback. If you’re unsure about something dodgy like this, always ring your bank straight away.

I found this quite puzzling because loads of folks here are saying it’s a scam, but I couldn’t find any proof myself. My Google Pay stopped working out of nowhere, then I got a text and email from Santander telling me to ring them. The phone number they gave matched the one on Santander’s official site for Google Pay issues. Turns out my Google Pay got cancelled because it hadn’t been used for ages, so everything seemed legit. Honestly, I’m not convinced this was a scam.

Got a pretty believable email last night, said it was from Santander and even had my card info and postcode included. Since it showed up close to midnight, I rang the number provided but only got a voicemail telling me to ring back during business hours. Needless to say, I didn’t bother. Later I contacted Santander directly and they confirmed it was a scam. Honestly, this is by far the most realistic scam message I’ve ever come across. Stay careful out there!

I got an email that looked proper official, claiming it was from Santander saying my account was taken off Google Pay. I didn’t ring the number in the email because it felt dodgy, so I phoned Santander’s customer service myself. They told me both my accounts are still linked to Google Pay and to just ignore that message.

I got a message and an email saying I should delete my google pay link, and there was a number in the email. I rang Santander's customer service to check if it was legit. Turns out the message was actually from them, and that number is listed on their official site for Google Pay Android help. So it was a genuine contact after all.

Got a pretty believable scam email in the middle of the night. I rang up Santander straight away, but used the number from their official website, not the one in the email. They confirmed everything was fine with my account and that there was no issue with Google Pay either. Santander also told me that the phone number in that email wasn’t theirs at all. Just a heads up, the email had some personal stuff like part of my postcode, last 4 digits of my card, and my full name, so watch out for this one!

Got an email claiming to be from Santander saying my Google Pay was cancelled and telling me to ring 0330 6782698 if I didn’t ask for it or hadn’t got a new debit card. The email looked genuine since it included some of my bank info and address. I was suspicious only because I'd recently heard about a data leak affecting others. I rang Santander using the number on my bank statement and they confirmed it was a scam.
