Someone rang asking for the owner of a company that this number was linked to before. They said sorry about having old info and then just ended the call. Not sure if it was legit or not, but the person had a thick Indian accent and there was loads of noise in the background, so I’m guessing it was probably a scam.

Regarding 0330 444 0795: I've had quite a few calls from different 0330 numbers recently, and honestly they range from just annoying to obviously dodgy. My takeaway is it's safer to just ignore any 0330 calls and block them straight away. I really don't get how the regulators let these numbers get issued without properly verifying who’s behind them.

I cut him off straight away, told him he was talking rubbish because he said my last name before my first - no proper CAB person would do that. Then he snapped, “Look here, you idiot!” I was like, “What did you just say? Say that again.” He said, “An idiot.” I told him he was a scammer and asked which enforcement agency they were talking about, but he just hung up on me.
