I received a call from 0330 390 7588, where the person on the other end claimed they could offer me a 40% discount on my O2 bill. The problem is, I don’t even have an O2 account! When I asked him how much I was supposedly paying, he seemed stumped and couldn’t provide an answer. That raised some serious red flags, so I questioned whether this was a scam, and then he promptly ended the call. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I had a chap call me up, insisting he was from O2. To cut a long story short, his aim was to pinch my “one-time passcode,” but fortunately, he didn’t succeed! Just a word of advice to everyone: never divulge that code to anyone! Not even if they appear to be a bona fide O2 representative!
