Most of these calls are just wasted time, especially the silent ones. I reckon if the government added hefty fines straight into their contracts for making these calls related to their schemes, it would cut them down big time. No need for new laws or anything fancy, just penalties would do the trick.

Got a robo call telling me I owe money and to press 9 if I want out. Obviously some dodgy scammers trying to grab your cash. The number was blocked too. Watch out, these are proper loan shark tactics!
