Tried to book a smart meter installation and when I asked if they were from my energy provider, they said they were just a third party. But why would some random company call me when I already spoke to my real energy supplier about it?

Like quite a few folks, I've had my fair share of nuisance calls from this number-four in total, and each time I get a rather eerie silent voicemail left behind. Apparently, Vodafone is flagging this as a potential scam. Personally, I haven’t picked up any of their calls, and I’d recommend steering clear of it yourself as well. Best to keep your distance!

Someone rang me claiming to be from Ribble Research, doing a survey on behalf of Three. I looked them up and found this: Market Probe Europe Ltd, The Perfume Factory, 140 Wales Farm Road, Acton, London, W3 6UG, phone 0208-992-5555, website marketprobe[###]. If they’re legit, they really need to rethink how they operate. I’ve blocked their number now.

Its a company that does surveys for big names like Lloyds, Three Mobile and a few more, so its not a scam, just kinda annoying imo.

Got two calls from this number. First, a woman claiming to be from Lloyds said I’d asked for a callback - I definitely didn’t! Then a bloke rang saying he was doing a survey for Lloyds. I told him I was busy and couldn’t chat, he said he’d ring me again. I messaged Lloyds on Twitter and they said it wasn’t them and advised me to block the number. Sure enough, they called again this morning, so I’ve blocked it now.

Got a call on my mobile, and my number’s listed with TPS! I didn’t say a word, just listened. There was nothing, and then the person hung up after a bit.

I received an unsolicited call from a person identifying herself as "Jennifer Harris," claiming she was conducting a survey on behalf of Lloyds Bank. What struck me was how this caller seemed to have detailed knowledge of my business and personal accounts with Lloyds, including my name and phone number. I can't help but wonder if others who have commented here are also account holders with Lloyds Bank. If it's proven that personal information regarding Lloyds account holders has been compromised, then the bank ought to take immediate action to investigate and rectify their data protection measures. After reaching out to Lloyds, I haven't felt reassured; they merely suggested that I report the incident online and offered little else. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced something similar or has any advice to offer?

I've received a handful of calls from this number on my mobile. I answered one time, but the caller was quite disjointed, stumbling over their words. They claimed to be from some research firm, asking me to take part in a survey. I didn't buy it for a moment, so I promptly ended the call. The following morning, lo and behold, I discovered a Trojan virus on my phone. Quite the coincidence, wouldn't you agree?

I received a phone call claiming to be about alterations to the bank statements provided by Halifax. They wanted me to participate in a survey and inquired whether I held an account with them. I responded affirmatively, but something felt off. I ultimately chose to terminate the call as the individual on the line seemed rather suspicious!
