Blimey, I really fell for that caller’s tricks! I can’t believe I handed over so much of my personal details. They were probing if I’d be around the next day and then again in a month. When I said yes to this so-called meter fitting, they even inquired if I had a dog! What a right pickle I’ve got myself into. 🥴

I received a call but ended up just terminating it. Clearly a nuisance!

They seemed to have my name on hand and expressed a desire to set up a Smart meter for me. When I flatly refused, they began to quote from the GDPR. They wanted me to verbally grant permission for the call to be recorded. I reiterated my position - I comprehend, but I really don't want it. They insisted that I needed to give a verbal "yes" during the conversation, mentioning how they contact all customers about the smart meter. Honestly, it doesn't matter; my answer remains the same - I'm not interested.
