These scammers masqueraded as representatives from HMRC, claiming they were looking into a tax fraud case linked to me. They insisted that I press 1 to connect with my assigned case worker and went so far as to issue threats of legal repercussions if I failed to comply.

Got a call from a Manchester number today, it was some robo voice talking about an accident I supposedly had. I said yes to the robot and then got connected to a person - turns out it was a scammer pretending to be some claims company. Total rubbish.

I got a dodgy call about supposedly being in an accident sometime over the past two years. The person on the phone got pretty nasty and kept pushing me for answers. In the end, I just decided not to chat with them anymore.

Apparently there’s an HMRC scam going around saying you’re gonna be arrested if you don’t call back. It’s laughable, honestly. I’ve had well over 300 calls and never once pressed 1 like they ask, and guess what? No arrest yet! People still get tricked by this nonsense? Ridiculous!
