6 daysSomeone called saying they were from Domestic & General regarding my insurance. They actually knew the details of my policy and asked if the stuff covered was still in good shape. When they tried to run through some security checks, I asked why and they just quickly moved on to asking if I wanted to add anything else, mentioning I had a free extra slot. I wasn’t sure what to add so said we’d reach out if we needed to update anything. Not sure if it was legit or if they were fishing for security info.Domestic & General11 monthsThey said it was some kind of PCP check, just a dodgy way to get you into legal stuff. Definitely not the kind of call you want.2 yearsI was drivin when my phone started buzzin on hands free, saw the number and thought I knew it. But as soon as I got home and looked at the screen properly, turns out it was just another telemarketer. Bloody SPAM #### once more!2 yearsI received a call from 03303410931, and it didn't seem to be an automated message. Should I be wary, or is this just another dodgy number?2 yearsI just received a call on my landline from 03303410931. I told her I’ve never had any finance on a car since I don’t drive and actually never have. Then she went on about someone called K...y, saying we used to be their customers and had PPI claims with them. When I asked what PPI meant, she couldn’t even explain it. I’ve just blocked their number now.K2 yearsGood afternoon everyone, I recently received a rather dubious call from this particular number concerning my car finance and an alleged refund for overpaid interest. The caller bombarded me with a plethora of questions; I responded to a few, but it didn’t take long for me to catch on that it was a scam. I decided to terminate the call midway through as she was typing out an email, and promptly blocked the number. It’s best to stay vigilant!2 yearsDefinitely a scam caller, be careful!2 yearsThe person on the other end wouldn't say who they were, so I didn't bother giving any of my details and just hung up.2 yearsI picked up the phone but the caller just ended the call straight away.2 yearsWhen I picked up the phone, the caller simply disconnected. When I rang it back, an automated voice said it was from Polly.co.uk / Tom.co.uk about life insurance. I did look into life insurance online not long ago, but never anything to do with Polly. Definitely adding this number to my block list.Polly. co. ukTom. co. ukPolly4 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with Legal and General about checking my life insurance coverage. I strongly recommend steering clear and blocking it immediately!HMRC4 yearsI highly doubt that HMRC would ever contact me via voicemail like that. It’s my understanding that they usually prefer sending letters when they need to get in touch with individuals. This definitely felt like a scam! They claimed they were about to issue an arrest warrant for tax evasion in my name. Utter nonsense!HMRC4 yearsGot a call from this number today. The person said they were from HMRC but started asking for personal details, so I just ended the call.HMRC4 yearsSaid they were from Vodafone in Croydon. Honestly, whoever is behind this - do you lot even think before calling? Asking if I’m a Vodafone user when you say you’re from Vodafone is just daft. And don’t you know most smartphones flag calls like yours as possible scams now? I’m definitely going to track down your IP and sort this mess out.VodafoneCroydon4 yearsJust looked up some reviews on scamphone.co.uk and loads say it’s bogus HMRC trying to scare folks with arrest threats over tax stuff. Yeah, right. Didn’t fall for it and just blocked the number straight away.HMRC4 yearsGot a call yesterday from a bloke saying he was from HMRC, but having done some time as a debt collector for them, I knew straight away it was a scam. Never hand over any details to these people. I've already flagged the number with HMRC, the TPS, and Ofcom so hopefully they get caught.HMRCTPSOfcomSubmit Your Own Report (0330 341 0931)
