It was definitely Southern Water calling, no scam involved. If you take a look at the letters, it’s quite clear it’s just their payment line. If you’re having trouble settling your bill, they’re there to help. They don’t push you for payment right away, they actually suggest making the payment through their website or ringing the number printed on the front of your bill if you feel uneasy. The bloke I spoke to was really nice and made me feel at ease about everything.

The payment link showed as “KLICKPAY” instead of “CLICKPAY” and that’s when I really got suspicious. I feel daft cos I thought I was pretty clued up about these scams.

Someone rang saying they were from southern water and wanted me to verify my address which i did, but when they asked for my date of birth i said no, then they asked for my email and again i refused. Then they wanted my mobile number even tho they just called me! I told them to just send the bill the usual way and i'd check it then.
