I switched my pay-as-you-go SIM with EE to a contract for my daughter, and now she’s bombarded with a daily text inviting her to join a quiz that allegedly costs £4.50 to participate in. The messages arrive punctually at 9:15 PM each night, and I can’t help but feel this is a form of harassment. It makes me think that EE must have shared my number with someone.

Be careful with the number 03302231767, it sends texts from 85222 and charges £1.50 straight to your phone, even if you dont open the message! Pretty sneaky if you ask me.

I received calls on the 31st of March, 3rd of April, and 4th of April - each time, it was the same monotonous response: "We're unable to take your call right now. Kindly leave your number, and someone will get back to you within a day." It's utterly infuriating because NO ONE ever followed up! This feels like a massive con!

I recently updated my profile on Windows 10, and upon logging in, I was bombarded by a site named "google.co.uk." It unleashed a torrent of competitions-one after another, it seemed! I was frantically trying to close down all six tabs that had opened up. Frustrated, I begrudgingly entered a competition for a chance to snag an iPhone 7. To be honest, it felt like a classic scam designed to harvest my personal information, probably to sell it off to other sites. And the supposed free phone? Well, the contract they offered was eye-wateringly steep at sixty quid a month! Yikes! Luckily, I used my Gmail address, so all those pesky replies will just get filtered right into the spam abyss! 😊

Crikey, this blimmin’ number keeps pinging me every Tuesday with the same old drivel. It's as if someone’s set a timer! I get three messages all bundled together, and they go like this: 1) Join our weekly quizzes, rack up points, and clinch a spot in the finals for a shot at that Voucher! Just ensure your WAP settings are spot on! For more info: 03302231767 2) We’ll give you a bell if you win the voucher, cheers! 3) The Voucher is a quiz that anyone, young or old, can have a go at, where you could bag vouchers for Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Amazon, and loads more! Now, don't even think about replying, unless you fancy getting robbed by those extortionate PREMIUM RATES. I only realised because Vodafone had a natter with me, mentioning I’d racked up over £15 in text charges within just a week - all while I’m on an "All Inclusive" plan for calls, texts, and data! During that chat, Vodafone assured me they’d slap a phone block on any premium number shenanigans. But, lo and behold, just six days later, another text arrives!

More info: 03302231767 2) If you win the voucher, we’ll give you a bell. Cheers! 3) The voucher is a quiz aimed at everyone, young and old, no matter your background, and you could snag vouchers for Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Amazon, and a whole lot more! If you even think about replying, be prepared for some outrageous PREMIUM RATES. I found that out the hard way, as Vodafone reached out, baffled by the £15 I somehow racked up on texts in just a week-even though I’ve got an “All inclusive calls, text, data contract.” During my chat with Vodafone, they assured me they’d place a block to stop any premium number communications. Yet, wouldn’t you know it? Just six days later, another text popped up. What a palaver!

Blimey, this number keeps bombarding me with messages every Tuesday, and they arrive in what feels like a miniature trilogy. For more details, ring: 03302231767. 2) If you're lucky enough to win, we'll give you a bell. Attempting to respond is a wallet nightmare, with eye-watering PREMIUM RATES attached. I discovered this the hard way-Vodafone highlighted my account, revealing I had racked up over £15 in just seven days, all while on an "All-in-one calls, texts, and data plan." In my conversation with Vodafone, they assured me they'd set up a block to prevent any communications with these premium number services. I recently received a text claiming that there's a chance to win a Tesco voucher worth £750, and it urged me to reply with “GET” to enter. Quite intriguing, don’t you reckon?

At this point in the week, I've started receiving what seem like genuine offers, including one that appeared to come from a local radio station. I ended up responding without doing my due diligence, believing it was all above board. I've since blocked the number and will definitely be more cautious moving forward!

I've come to the conclusion that this is a fraudulent operation and it has absolutely nothing to do with Tesco. If you need to get in touch with them, their official email is [email protected].

Is there a way to prevent this number from contacting me? I haven't engaged with them in any way, but I'm quite concerned they might siphon money from my account.

I’ve just had a message come through from 08443585862. It says: FreeMsg: Mrs Davis, simply reply YES to validate your entry for a chance to win a £750 Tesco voucher! Sent through txtwinner.co.uk. Feel free to disregard if you didn’t ask for it. The number 03302231767 is also mentioned. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Hello there, I've been billed by this number for more than a year now, and I'm currently battling to reclaim my funds. Does anyone happen to have a reliable email address for them? I've informed them that this appears to be fraudulent, as I've never signed up for these messages. Additionally, their texts include directions on how to opt-out, yet they continue to siphon off my money without my permission. I'm on the lookout for a proper email contact so I can pursue my refund, but they keep supplying me with invalid addresses. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

I've received messages from Tesco, but I haven't used any vouchers. They've just deducted another two pounds from my account. I can't seem to send a STOP text. Does anyone know how I can put an end to this?

I've just been sent an unsolicited text that caught my eye, and it read like this: "Freemsg: Mr Montgomery, text YES if you'd like to claim your chance at winning a £750 Tesco voucher! Check it out at voucher.me.uk. If this isn't something you asked for, just disregard it." The number attached was 85222, and I also noticed the contact number 03302231767. Quite cheeky, isn't it?

I must say, this is nothing but a con! If you happen to pick up, they'll siphon off £1.50 from your phone bill. Honestly, the website is just a barren page!
Here’s the message I received:
FeMsg: Mrs Motolese, simply reply YES to verify your entry for a chance to snag a £750 Tesco voucher courtesy of voucher.me.uk. Best to disregard if it wasn’t something you asked for. The number was 03302231767.

I've recently experienced the loss of my mother, and now I'm receiving incessant texts and calls from folks claiming that I've won competitions I never even took part in. It's utterly infuriating!

I’ve just received a text claiming that I’ve signed up for txtwinner at a cost of £3 a week until I send the word STOP85222. I’m opting not to reply to this message and will keep an eye on my bank statements and follow up with my mobile provider. I’m under the impression that I won’t incur any charges by not engaging with them. Is that the right way to think about this?

I'm facing a similar issue, and it's really perplexing. I've been receiving SMS texts from them, sometimes even twice a week, and they keep deducting £1.50 from my pay-as-you-go balance without my consent. Initially, I clicked on a link that promised a chance to win an iPhone 6, but there was no indication whatsoever that this would incur any charges. Since then, they've persisted in bombarding me with messages, and regardless of whether I engage with their links or not, I'm still hit with that £1.50 deduction each time. I even attempted to opt out by texting 'STOP' to the number in question, but I keep getting a response that says the attempt was unsuccessful. Honestly, this has left me feeling anxious and hesitant to add any more credit to my phone. Best, Russell

How can I halt those text messages bombarding my phone? They've claimed I've won an iPhone 6s in a competition I never even entered! It’s so frustrating!

I received a message claiming there's a chance to win an iPhone 6 if the individual behind the number 07404602117 could somehow contact me, named Abdulhak bin Hussain. Quite the unusual situation!

I'm utterly baffled by these incessant messages. As a pensioner with disabilities, I find them to be nothing but a nuisance. They serve no purpose for me, yet they keep coming. It’s frustrating, especially since I can’t spare the £1.50 to deal with them, and I've received six of these already! It's truly a shameful case of exploitation against those of us who are older and less able.

I've noticed some unexpected charges appearing on my pay-as-you-go mobile bill, and it's quite bewildering. For some reason, they've been deducting £3 at a time, but I have yet to figure out just how frequently this is happening. My balance seemed to dwindle alarmingly over the past few weeks, prompting me to switch service providers. When I was in the process of obtaining a PAC to transfer my number, I found out that txtwinner.com has been pocketing money from my account. It's baffling because I’ve never heard of them, and I'm certainly not involved in any online competitions or gambling. I've sent a message saying STOP to the number provided, hoping that'll put an end to it. In the meantime, I'm rather keen to find out from my previous provider (O2) how much they’ve actually taken from me. And of course, I’m left pondering whether it’s possible to reclaim any funds directly from txtwinner.com. What a palaver!

If you’re foolish enough to get caught up in this, you’ve only got yourself to blame for the charges.

I've reached out to this bunch multiple times, asking them to cease sending those text messages to my number. Each time one lands in my inbox, I find myself hit with a £1.50 charge, despite the fact that I never signed up for anything in the first place!

The cost of calls is the same as calls to geographic numbers (01 or 02).
