About 03 Numbers
Numerous organizations use 03 numbers as an alternative to the more costly 08 numbers. For instance, many public sector bodies have shifted from 0845 numbers to 0345. The price of calls is no more than calls to geographic numbers (01 or 02). Call charges depend on the time of the day, and most providers provide call packages that allow free calls at specific times of the day. Mobile call costs vary based on the selected calling plan. Usually, these calls are included in free call packages.
Other Numbers
NATIONWIDE: Use one-time code 724JJR to access the Internet Bank. If you didn't request this, ring 0330 190 1538.
This number isn’t the usual one Nationwide texts me from, and the wording felt off - they usually say "internet banking" not "the Internet Bank." Plus, the phone number they want you to call seems linked to a bank scam.
Be careful with phishing messages like this.
Just last week, I got an anonymous call (no caller ID) from someone claiming to be from Nationwide’s fraud team about some odd charges on my credit card. They named a few transactions, starting with a £15 Uber ride in Southampton, then bigger ones of £400 and £800 for online purchases. They said they could stop the payments if I verified my identity by giving my card details over the phone 😂. As soon as I told them hell no, the call just cut off.
