Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent, she said her name was Alice and said she was from a firm called Solar Mis-sold. (Surely there can’t be that many folks who accidentally bought solar panels?!) I asked where they were located, and she said Liverpool, so I asked again “Where exactly?” and then she just cut me off. Pretty clear they weren’t legit and probably trying to fish for bank info, pretending to "fix" some mis-sold issue?

I’d call it annoying but it might be risky too. It was a cold call, pretending to be canvassing. They talked about some refund related to solar panels and asked if I’d had any fitted in the last decade. I didn’t give a direct answer but it felt like a scam. The caller’s speech was so poor I could barely catch a thing she was saying. Definitely a dodgy call. They couldn’t have known I own solar panels unless they tracked down my address and looked me up on Google Maps or something. Anyway, I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from someone called Simon saying he was with Solar Mis-Sold. He asked for my dad, claiming he’d bought solar panels that might have been mis-sold. Thing is, my dad never bought any solar panels and has been gone for 11 years now. So, that makes Simon a total con artist. Plus, he clearly doesn’t care about the TPS - like loads of these scammers who just carry on anyway, since the TPS seems to have zero power to stop them.
