They kept ringing me from numbers that were almost the same, just one digit off. It was obviously a dodgy property company trying to scam me. Once I called them out on it, they just ended the call straight away.

Somebody rang saying they were from the housing association, wanting to come fix things. Ha, the laugh is I actually own my place - don’t rent it at all! So, definitely not from the council or any housing group. These lot are just trying to scam you, no doubt about it. Received a rather dubious call from someone pretending to represent BT Openreach, claiming to be a technician. This chap was insistent that he could assist with supposed internet and PC troubles that I hadn't even experienced! He went on about how my computer was riddled with viruses, which he claimed was the culprit behind a sluggish connection. Strangely enough, my internet was running like a dream, with no issues whatsoever on my end. He then proceeded to suggest that I download a particular application so he could supposedly rectify everything remotely. It was all a right old ruse! Definitely a scam, no doubt about it!

The person who phoned sounded polite enough, but it was clear they were trying to get me to say "yes" to their questions (I think I slipped up once, ugh!). Like, they said something like, "You sound pretty young from your voice, are you over 20?" I saw earlier someone said a caller with this exact pitch hung up after a minute or two. Once I figured out what kind of call it was, I just ended it straight away.
