Received an unexpected call yesterday, and then another one today.

I received a call today from someone named "Sarah" claiming to be from the housing association's repairs team. Her voice was undeniably female, but it had a rather mechanical tone to it. The call was quite brief before she hung up.

I've got to admit, there's something rather dodgy about this whole situation. It’s bizarre that the search activity kicked off just this morning, and by 9:15, there were already 87 searches logged on this site alone. What’s more, there wasn’t even a message to accompany it. I wouldn’t put my trust in this at all.

Didn’t receive any message, so it’s likely just another one of those dodgy callers again.

I picked up the phone when it rang, but as soon as I did, the caller hung up on me. Strangely, there was nothing but silence on the line.

I’d love to discuss our housing situation, though I must admit I wasn’t even aware we had an issue to address.

Received a dodgy call regarding issues with housing, but it was just a recorded message. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I got a rather peculiar call on my mobile today. It seemed to be an automated voice, just chirping "Hello, how are you today?" before diving into a spiel about mould issues in the house and repairs. When I inquired about who I was speaking to, she mentioned something about the 'department of compliance.' That’s when it hit me-I was conversing with a voicebot, something akin to Synthesia AI. Quite astounding, really, how malefactors can exploit such advanced technology for nefarious ends. It was painfully clear the call was likely aimed at further refining the AI's responses. They’re probably monitoring these comments to gauge public reactions, too. I’ll certainly be flagging this to the authorities!

Total spam call, just wasted my time with that.

Total scam, don’t trust it.

Got a call from an unknown number, didn’t bother calling back. Definitely one of those automated robo calls.

Don’t bother with just blocking those calls, it never really helps. These housing repair scammers operate from all over the place, firing off millions of fake numbers using computers to lure in people. If you want to do something about it, you need to report them. For scam emails, send them over to ‘[email protected]’. And for scam texts or silent calls, just forward or text the details to ‘7726’. If you want to get clued up, watch the programmes on scams on BBC 1 and Channel 5 - they’re on iPlayer and My5. - Anon13

Got a call from someone saying they were from the housing association, asking about mould and damp problems. I immediately yelled at them for being scammers, but they kept on with their script. Eventually, I just ended the call and made sure to report it.

Got a call from someone pretending to be social housing, asking for my private info and if I needed assistance. Don’t fall for it, they’re scammers. I’ve already told fraud prevention and also contacted crime stoppers about it. Just put them on do not answer.

I got a call from someone named Sarah, sounded like a robot, asking about some “housing problem” with mould and dampness. The thing is, I never mentioned having any trouble like that. Very odd.

Had a call from some bloke claiming to be from India, asking for all sorts of personal info like my address, full name and birthday. Asked him what he needed it for and bam, line went dead - they just cut off!

Just got a robocall from some woman saying she was “Sarah” talking about “housing issues.” I told them no thanks and they just ended the call. Lately I’ve been getting loads of dodgy calls pretending to be from Currys, PC World or Vodafone, but this was the first proper robot call I’ve had in ages. Sounded super fake and clumsy, like a rubbish phishing attempt.

I got two calls from very similar numbers, the second one only changed the last couple of digits. I’m pretty sure it’s a call centre with loads of extensions. Thankfully, my phone flagged both as possible scams and blocked them before I even picked up.

You can definitely tell Sarah's just a bot - she keeps asking if you've got any housing issues. Then she passes you onto this guy with an Indian accent who starts asking about your housing problems. I didn’t get much further, but watch out, it feels a bit dodgy!

Got a call from a lady who claimed she was from a housing association. She said it was about some "issues" with my housing. I asked her what problem she was talking about, and then she just ended the call.

Got a call from this number earlier. The person claimed to be from some housing department and asked if there was any mould or damp in the house. When I tried to get a clear answer on who exactly they were, she just mentioned social housing and then ended the call. We actually own our place, so it seemed off. What creeped me out is that just about 10 minutes before, I’d been chatting with my builders, Crest Nicholson, about a leak we've been having they're fixing. Not sure if it’s a weird coincidence or if someone’s been eavesdropping on my calls. Definitely feels a bit dodgy.
