Got a call from some call centre about insurance for a Bosch washing machine I purchased about 6 years back. Quite random, wasn’t expecting that!

When I asked for their website, they just ended the call. They said they were from something called the Perpetual Group, but I couldn’t find anything about them on Google. They also insisted it wasn’t a cold call when I brought up TPS, even though I’ve never dealt with them before. Quite fishy if you ask me.

definitely sounded like a call centre. I picked up, could hear people chatting in the background, then the line just cut off. I've blocked the number now.

Whenever I'm not sure about a site, I just make up a name. This number called me and started asking for the name I gave to answer some easy questions. I told them that wasn’t my real name, and the woman got all nosy wanting my actual name. Then I just hung up. Bye!

This number has rung me thrice in a single day, but I only picked up on the third. They claimed to be selling me an extended warranty for my washing machine, since the complimentary one has expired. Then they hit me with the golden question: "Will you be using a Visa?" 😂 It's clearly a con, especially since they'd not be calling three times in one day. Plus, I've recently changed my phone number, and only my partner knows it! 😂 I played along, saying I’d need to use my brother’s credit card, but he wasn’t nearby at the moment. So, I told them to give me a call back on Monday, and we’d sort it out then. If they want to waste my time, I’ll gladly return the favour! As a side note, I haven’t acquired a brand-new washing machine in over five years! 😂😂
