7 monthsI got a call from this number, but it showed up as a screening call. By the time I tried to pick up, the caller had already ended it. So, I don’t know if it’s a safe number or not since I never actually spoke to anyone. This isn’t the first time either - I think it’s about the third time they’ve called me, and every time it’s the exact same thing, they hang up before I can even answer. Bit odd if you ask me!7 monthsI got a call from 0330 174 6827 and the guy on the other end was really dodgy and quite rude. When I tried to ask which company he was representing, he just refused to answer.7 monthsWatch out, it’s one of those housing scam calls. Better to just ignore it completely.7 monthsGot a call round 5:20pm, the person was slow to answer and kept saying they were from the housing authority. We do have some problems, but once I mentioned we rent privately, the caller just hung up. He said he was looking into our complaint before doing anything else. Bit worried I might have given away too much info. Gonna block this number now.7 monthsGot a call today from an unknown number that buzzed through my headphones. Picked up to a really scratchy connection, and the bloke on the other end claimed he was from some company dealing with councils nationwide, ringing me about mould or cracks on my house. When I asked for details about his firm, he suddenly got quite rude and just dropped the call. Honestly, he had scam written all over him if he’d gone by the name #### Dastardly or something!7 monthsGot a call claiming it was about some mould report we supposedly filed. Told him no one here had said a thing about mould, but he just kept going with his spiel anyway. Ended up just hanging up on him. x7 monthsGot a call about some supposed repairs that apparently came from a complaint I never made. Very fishy if you ask me.7 monthsThe voice on the line was a man’s, but there was a weird delay before he answered me. He mentioned something about me having reported problems with mould, damp, and a leaky pipe to the council, and that my housing officer wanted him to contact me. When I tried to find out which officer he meant and where they were based, he just said 'thanks, have a nice day' and hung up suddenly.7 monthsGot a call from someone claiming it was about a housing issue. Totally a scam, don’t trust it!7 monthsGot a call from someone with a thick Indian accent saying I’d complained about a housing problem, which I definitely didn’t. They kept pausing for ages between sentences, way too suspicious. Stay clear, this is not someone to trust!7 monthsHad a call from a lady with a foreign accent claiming to be from the council about some "housing issue". Sounded dodgy to me. Best thing to do is stay quiet and just end the call. Don't get caught up in it!7 monthsThey said they were calling from some housing dept, sounded like they had a script and their connection kept dropping. Ended up hanging up and looked them up here. Really glad I checked it out first.7 monthsJust got a call from some total scammer. No idea where they found my number, so watch out everyone!7 monthsSomeone called me asking how I was doing, then went on to claim I had reported an issue with housing. That’s totally false but could really cause trouble for folks who actually need help or who are vulnerable.7 monthsI picked up, but there was a bit of silence before the person started talking. Then they said I’d made a complaint about housing, which I definitely hadn’t. That was enough for me, so I ended the call there. No way I’m picking up if that number rings again.7 monthsGot a call from a bloke who spoke English, saying I'd apparently reported problems with my housing. I asked him what kind of issues he meant and he rattled off things like leaks, mould, and other stuff. I just laughed and told him my tent's in perfect shape, no faults whatsoever. Then he just hung up on me.7 monthsI saw I’d missed a call on my phone and was about to ring back, but decided to look up the number first. Good thing I did! I’ve blocked it now, though I’m pretty certain they’ll just switch the number and try again. Lately, I get loads of calls from overseas voices, and it’s really getting on my nerves.7 monthsGot a call from some bloke with an Indian accent asking if I was having issues with leaks or water at home. Seems like a fresh trick these scammers are using nowadays. I played along and kept him talking for ages. When he asked how he could help, I jokingly told him to fix the clouds leaking onto my roof!7 monthsJust another pointless call, nobody said a word, only some weird noise on the other end.7 monthsWhat a scam! Some bloke kept going on about me having ‘housing problems’. I just nicely told him to jog on, haha.7 monthsGot a call from a number I didn't recognise, so I just ignored it. They didn’t bother to leave any voicemail, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it.7 monthsGot a dodgy call today from someone saying they're looking into "property issues" linked to a place I’ve never even heard of. Definitely sounded like a phishing scam.7 monthsPhoned but no one spoke, then call just ended. I've blacklisted the number now.7 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were with a Housing Repairs Company about an issue they said I had "reported". They had a British accent, definitely not Indian, so I guess they're probably local. I cut the call before they started their usual scam chat. Definitely a dodgy housing repair scam going around.Housing Repairs Company7 monthsComplete rip-off. Got a call with a pre-recorded message from someone with an Indian accent, talking about a housing repair complaint I supposedly made. Nope, never reported anything like that.Nope7 monthsNo one ever stays on the line, it’s always just a dead end.7 monthsBeware of this phishing scam about fixing houses, apparently from India. They try to trick you by pretending to offer home repair services. Don't fall for it!India7 monthsSo I got a call from someone claiming I’d reported issues with my housing. When I asked them to explain which problems they meant, they got all rude and wouldn’t say a word - probably because I hadn’t reported any faults at all. I called them out as scammers, and as you’d expect, they just hung up on me. Pretty typical behaviour!Submit Your Own Report (0330 174 6827)
