I received a rather unsolicited call from someone attempting to peddle life insurance. The individual claimed they were keen to assess my existing policy and provide a comparison. However, I opted to cut the chat short when they addressed me by the incorrect name. Just felt it was a sign to not engage any further.

Got a call from someone claiming to be doing a survey for my bank. I didn't share any of my details. Later, I rang my bank and they confirmed they never share customer info with outside people. I’ve blocked the number and plan to report it to the phishing team at my bank.

I received a rather peculiar phone call from someone claiming that the warranty on my washing machine had expired. The thing is, I’ve only had it for a maximum of three months, so it was rather baffling, to say the least. When I pointed this out, rather than engaging in a proper conversation, the chap simply hung up. What’s more, he rattled off my entire home address over the phone, which struck me as rather odd. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
