They were acting like they were from O2, but it was definitely a fake.

This number keeps ringing me up pretending to be O2, and I'm so over it. Whenever O2 needs to get in touch, they normally just send an email. If I mention that I reckon it's a scam, they just hang up straight away.

Got a call from someone calling "Michael" with this weird, robotic voice. Couldn't catch which company they were from. Pretty sure it was just spam.

They kept mentioning O2 and Virgin Media, but honestly, I couldn't make out a word even after they went over it again. I just told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

The caller mentioned something concerning O2 and Virgin Media. Honestly, as I've mentioned before, their explanation was nearly unintelligible, regardless of how many times they repeated it. In the end, I simply informed them I wasn't keen on whatever they were offering and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with 02. They said loads of people have been moaning about the signal dropping since moving from Virgin. The caller then said they could upgrade me to 5G. When I told them I’m already on 5G, they suddenly switched the story to say it was about a 20% discount on my bill. I asked them to confirm my info to prove they’re really from 02, and then the line went dead. Ended up reporting it to action fraud.

Got a ring that supposedly was from O2, saying they wanted to lower my bill. I’ve had loads of calls like this over the years and they always turn out to be some kind of scam. This time, they were using a number I hadn’t seen before. As soon as I told them I knew it was dodgy, they just hung up on me.

I really struggled to make out what the caller was saying, their accent was quite pronounced and seemed to have a strong Indian flavour to it.
