Very persistent - such a strong accent to the point of not being able to understand 70% of the words spoken. When I asked them to repeat what they were saying, they got very annoyed. If they are from O2 and Virgin as they insist they are, it would be impossible to talk about a 'new deal'. I've blocked the number.

I received a call from someone who claimed to be representing O2, stating that my profile was now part of a merger with Virgin. I wasn’t interested and chose not to engage in conversation, as I’m well aware of these types of scams.

This isn’t the customer service number for O2! When I inquired about needing to refresh my profile, I asked them what information was currently held, but the call ended abruptly. Quite frustrating!

Got a call supposedly from O2, claiming they’ve joined forces with Virgin, and were going on about some connection hiccups, trying to push an upgrade on me. Clearly, I wasn’t biting! No chance I’d fall for that.

I received a call from a woman speaking with an accent that seemed quite foreign, claiming to represent O2. As soon as I indicated my lack of interest, I hung up the phone straight away. Definitely sounded like a scam to me!

A chap rang me claiming to be from O2, asking how my day was going. I replied that all was well, although I was rather sceptical about him being genuine. There was a bit of silence on the line, and then he just cut off without uttering another word. Pretty much solidified my hunch that this was likely a dodgy scam call the way he suddenly bailed.
