Claiming to be from Barclaycard Compliance Team. They used to leave these vague voicemails which were impossible to understand, asking for a callback with a merchant ID. My colleague always tells them to ring back after 3pm to talk to the office manager, but they never bother. Now they just call, let one ring, then hang up straight away. Happens every day, right on 3pm, 3:30pm or 4pm exactly. Because it’s so hard to make out what they’re saying, makes you question if they’re even legit.

Curious, I inquired about which bank they were representing, and they mentioned Halifax. The thing is, I don’t even have an account with Halifax!
