My partner received a couple of letters supposedly from Admiral, each with a different policy number, both arriving on the same day. Both letters had his name spelled wrong right from the start. I also got a genuine letter from Admiral for another issue, and their layout was completely different. He hasn’t got any car insurance through Admiral at all. Even though the name, albeit misspelt, matches what's on their website, this definitely seems like a dodgy scam.

This looks like a proper scam, and a pretty convincing one at that. Got a letter supposedly from Admiral Car Insurance, but after checking closely, loads of details didn’t match up with what’s on their official site. Wouldn’t recommend calling the number or replying to any messages from them.

Scam Alert Got a letter today supposedly from Admiral, included a policy number but I’m insured with a different company. They want me to send over my council tax bill, the V5 registration, and even a photo of my driving licence. Can’t believe it!

I received a few letters about accounts I never opened - four in total, each showing different policy numbers. They claimed to be from Admiral and Elephant. They did get my address correct but had the wrong name on them. The footer on the letters looks like it was printed with an inkjet printer, which seemed a bit odd. The contact number listed was 0330 1343 255.

Hey there. Just got a letter from some insurance firm called Admiral about my car insurance being cancelled. Problem is, I don't even have a car insured with them or any of their affiliates. It's so sketchy, watch out for stuff like this!

Today I received a letter from Elephant claiming it's for Admiral Insurance. Thing is, I've never had any deal with Admiral. The oddest part is, the letter's got my name on it but it's actually my wife who drives and her insurance is under her name, not mine. With all the tech nowadays, I really think they should crack down hard on these scams. Folks, watch yourselves - these scammers are seriously dangerous!

Got a letter supposedly from Admiral claiming they'd been informed about a change in my info and that my insurance would be cancelled within a week. Oddly, this arrived just a day ahead of my renewal date. Funny thing is, I've never been insured with Admiral at all, so it all seemed a bit dodgy to me. Definitely not ringing some shady 0330 number and risking a massive phone bill.

I got a letter that looked like it was from Admiral saying my car insurance was cancelled right away because I supposedly gave them incorrect info, and that meant I’d be driving without cover. The letter only had a phone number and a policy reference, no car details or anything specific. It felt off since I have three cars but none are insured through Admiral. I double checked all my policies and everything was fine. Then I went on Admiral’s official website and noticed their 0330 numbers were different - big companies usually have a range of similar numbers, right? Plus, this letter said the phone line was open Monday to Friday only, but Admiral actually answers calls every day of the week. The letter was pretty convincing, but the part that made me doubt it the most was that they supposedly cancelled immediately; every other insurer I know gives at least a week’s notice before cancellation.

Got a letter through the post today claiming it was from Admiral Insurance, saying that my insurance policy had run out and that driving without it was illegal. It had a phone number to call, but it’s clearly a scam.

Today, I got a letter that looked like it came from Admiral Insurance, complete with their official letterhead. It mentioned some IN10 motoring offence I supposedly committed, which I never reported, saying my insurance was now invalid. I called the number provided, and after a chat, they said it was just a mistake. Thing is, I already shared details about my cars and who drives them before they admitted the error. I'm hoping this didn’t cause any damage, but it really felt like it might have been some kind of scam.

Got a ring from some call centre, I think it was about insurance or something like that. Sounded pretty generic but caller kept pushing their service. Definitely a sales call, nothing personal. Just beware if you get a number like this popping up!
