Got a call from someone claiming to be Lloyds, saying my account was compromised and money taken out. I hung up and immediately rang Lloyds myself, who told me it was definitely a scammer. If you ever get a call like this, just say something like, “Alright, thanks for letting me know, I’ll call my bank now.” If they try to convince you not to hang up and to keep talking, they’re not legit. A real bank rep wouldn’t mind you cutting the call and dialing the bank directly - only fraudsters get pushy trying to stop you doing that.

Got a call last week from someone saying they were from my bank, then today, 6th Feb, another call came through from what they said was a different bank but the bloke used the same name. Both times they said money was missing from my account and asked for some personal info. I just hung up and called my bank directly, everything was fine, no money gone. I have to admit, though, they were quite sneaky in how they tried to get information out of me.
