Got a message saying it was Barclays Bank. When I rang back, the line was dead quiet, no background sounds or even a keyboard tapping like you’d expect if someone was checking my info. Felt really dodgy, didn’t trust it at all.

I tried ringing the number to confront them about the scam text I got, but they just started swearing at me. Proper rude and abusive behaviour.

Got a dodgy text supposedly from Bàrclays saying: "Your OTP for new Payee setup M KHAN on 30/12/23 is 897832." Thing is, I don’t even have an account with them. Looks like a scam to me. Don’t trust it and make sure to report it if you get one too.

Got a text from a dodgy number saying the same thing as before, so I rang them up to check. Turns out it was a scam, and the person on the other end actually called me a twat! Couldn’t believe it.
