I got a message purporting to be from Barclays Bank, but it raised my suspicions. There was absolutely no ambient noise, and I couldn’t hear any tapping on a keyboard while the caller was supposedly going through my information. I’m not convinced this was above board in the slightest.

I received a dodgy text from this number, so I decided to give them a ring. The reply I got was nothing short of appalling; the language was truly offensive.

"Alert from Bàrclays: Your one-time passcode for establishing a new payee, M KHAN, dated 30/12/23, is 897832. If this isn’t you, reach out immediately at 03301339256." I received this poorly written message claiming to be from a bank that I don't have any dealings with. It’s clearly a scam-please steer clear and report it!

Received a dodgy text that mirrored previous messages. I rang the number and they claimed to be legit, before calling me a numpty - how cheeky is that?
