Got a call from someone claiming to be from Nationwide saying they’d stopped some dodgy charges on my account. They asked me to go through a few ‘checks’ like looking over recent payments, just like the real Nationwide would. After that, the bloke said he needed to speak to a supervisor because my banking app might have been hacked. Voice sounded young and a bit muffled. When I ended the call, it started ringing again straight away. Definitely didn’t feel right.
