Someone called saying they were from my bank about a suspicious £800 charge related to M&S Money in London. They asked me about it like it was some fraud alert. I instantly knew it was a scam because when I asked if it’d appear on my bank statement, they said it wouldn’t, which made no sense at all.

Got a call from someone saying they were my bank. They somehow had all my info. During the call, I told them my card had been compromised, but they kept pushing me to unfreeze it before they could cancel those dodgy transactions. Turns out, the charges were from a travel money place and TUI, both based in Liverpool. Seriously, don’t fall for it!

Got a call late at night from someone claiming to be from my bank's fraud department. They already had some of my card info like the number and expiry date, plus my home address, so it sounded legit. They said a company in Liverpool called TUI was trying to charge me £1029 and asked if I had any links to Liverpool. Then they asked me to give the rest of my card number and the CVC. They even wanted me to log into my banking app while they stayed on the line. I ended the call, checked my account and spotted a suspicious payment which I managed to block, then froze my card straight away. I tried ringing that number back but got nothing like the bank’s usual response, so I’m convinced it was a scam.

Got a call claiming to be from the Barclaycard fraud dept, saying there was suspicious activity on my card for over £2000 with Trips.com, supposedly in Liverpool. They sounded quite convincing since they knew my name, postcode, and last four digits of the card. The call dropped suddenly, so I rang Barclaycard myself. They said they hadn’t made any calls or put any transactions on hold. Decided to cancel the card just in case.
