1 yearI got a call from someone pretending to be from the FSCS, claiming I could get £30,000 back because of money lost with City Equities stockbroking, which had gone bust. They mentioned a firm called Verdosoholdings.co.uk would handle the payout for me. They even sent me a letter on official FSCS headed paper that seemed real. The catch was they wanted me to pay £1,500 up front in order to receive the £30k. Thankfully, I didn’t go ahead with it.Financial Services Compensation SchemeFSCSCity EquitiesVerdosoholdings. co. uk1 yearGot a letter saying it was from FSCS about some fraud on investments made by a firm. I replied to it, then got an email with a link and a different company's name to claim from. I checked the real FSCS number and it wasn’t the one they used. Also had a look at that company’s website, but can’t find anything about any fraud claims there. Feels fishy to me.FSCS1 yearThere’s a scam going around about investments.
