Got a call saying I was sending 532.65EUR to some Gertrude Miller at midnight from LLOYDS or HALIFAX. Thing is, I don't even have accounts with either bank, so right there I knew it's dodgy. They said if I hadn't made the transfer to ring their fraud team on 0330 133 3992 with REF: L8243. Seems like a classic scam to me!

I just got a message saying my Nationwide account was logged into from a phone in Spain and now international transfers are enabled. I didn’t do any of that, so I’m trying to get in touch with their fraud department right away on 0330 133 3992. The ref number they gave me is N20478. Pretty worried this might be some kind of scam or hack.

Just got a text claiming to be from LLOYDS/HALIFAX about a payment plan set up on my account for £451.76, being taken on the last day of the month, with the money going to GIDEON HOLDINGS PLC. It says if I don’t know about it, I should call their number. For starters, how come LLOYDS/HALIFAX apparently can’t spell 'recognise'? And nowhere did it say who it was actually for. Honestly, I’m pretty sure this is some scam and someone needs to be tracked down and dealt with properly.
