Definitely a scam, best to just ignore and not respond.

Got a message claiming to be from my bank saying my “contact info was changed” and telling me to call a number straight away if I didn’t do it. It looked fishy since the message came from a random mobile number, so I decided to look it up here first. Definitely not calling that number now, and I’ll be double checking things on this site going forward. Really appreciate having this service to rely on!

I got a call from this number saying they were from my bank. I double checked by calling the number on my bank card, and they told me it was a con. Whatever you do, don’t phone this number - it’s just some scammers trying to trick you.

Got a text supposedly from NatWest saying my info was being changed and to ring them if I didn’t approve it. Bit suspicious, but fair enough, I gave them a call just in case.

I got a call from this number claiming they were with Nationwide. They mentioned something about approving a couple of payments made at Boots Chemist. Bit odd, really.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the MET Police, telling me I was caught up in some kind of data leak. They said they needed to ask me a few questions. Nah, I wasn’t having any of it...

They claimed to be from HSBC and said someone tried to take 250 out of my account. What they didn’t realise is that someone had already tried to scam me the day before, so I’d blocked my card and requested a new one. As soon as I mentioned that, they sounded really uninterested. The call just dropped, and when I rang back it went straight to the same person with no sort of verification or security checks, which felt off.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the police, but it was obviously a scam.

I picked up the phone and they started by asking if it was me (mentioned my name) and claimed to be calling from my bank, saying some transactions from Klarna had been stopped. I checked my banking app but didn't see any alerts or messages about this. I calmly told them I wasn’t interested and hung up. Then I called my bank myself to double-check, and sure enough, it was a scam call. Glad I didn’t get tricked.
