I got a call from a phone number that showed up as 'private'. The person on the line told me someone had tried to move £18,000 from our business account using 'telephone banking'. They asked me to ring THIS NUMBER and gave a reference to mention. Instead of calling back, I searched the number here and found it’s been reported for banking scams. After that, we got in touch with our bank ourselves to report what happened. The bank said they’ve seen other cases like this earlier today too.

SCAM ALERT - Got a call from a well-spoken bloke saying he was Jake Stevens from Lloyds Business Support. He claimed someone from Global Economy Ltd tried to pull £18,123 from our account, mentioning it was for electricity bills or something. He told us to ring the fraud team on 0330 133 1586 right away and gave a case reference number. Sounded legit and the guy seemed proper professional, but thankfully I looked the number up first and found out it's linked to a known bank scam. Watch out for this one!

I just got a call from some bloke who sounded proper English and really believable. Normally I'm quite wary about these kind of calls, so I didn’t bother calling back the number he left me. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

I got a call from this number and it was a scam, they were trying to get my bank info. They come off as really polite and almost believable, so watch out!
