Watch out, it’s a scam! Don’t ever reply to calls, texts, or emails from numbers or addresses you don’t recognise. Avoid talking to anyone suspicious or calling back unknown numbers. Make sure you report these scams through the official police or Ofcom channels designed for this. You can text details of the call or message, even silent ones, to 7726 and follow the prompts to confirm your report. Just blocking scam callers isn’t enough, it only stops that specific number from ringing your phone. But they’ll just call again using another number. The best way to fight back is by reporting these scams. I’ve put the info for reporting down below.

Got a message on my missus' phone, said it was from Lloyd’s about some tyres being bought. They asked her to call a certain number. We reported it and just deleted it straight away, seemed like a proper phishing scam to me.

I thought it was a bank calling, they mentioned something about buying car tyres and told me to ring back on the number they gave. Seemed a bit fishy to me.
