Pretty sure this was a dodgy text.

While I was away on holiday, I got a call saying my account had been hacked. They wanted me to log into the app straight away, but I told them I couldn’t because I was out walking and didn’t have good signal. They said they’d block the payment and to ring back when I was at home. Once I got back, I logged into my account to check if it was genuine - it turns out it was. The caller spoke with a British accent and seemed pretty confident they could verify it was me. They asked how many Lloyds accounts I held and roughly how much money was in my main one.

Looks like one of those dodgy calls people always warn about, I’d say it’s safer to just ignore it.

Got a text from 0330 133 0380 claiming it's Lloyd's Bank. Does anyone know if that's legit or a scam?

Got a message about a payment of £189.99 supposedly from a Lloyds Bank account to B&Q at some time. Since I’ve never had an account with Lloyds, didn’t buy anything from B&Q, and wasn’t even close to any B&Q shop at that moment, I just knew this was a scam straight away.

Got a call saying my bank, Lloyds, was used to buy stuff at M&S - which is totally not true, since I don't have a Lloyds account at all. Definitely a scam. Just ignoring and blocking them.

Cheers, looks like a scam to me. I’ve never got a Lloyds account nor do I buy anything from M&S. That reference number is ridiculously short! ...Lloyds says I spent £164.99 at 'M&S' on 04/06 at 15:11, marked as done. No idea what this is. If it’s not you, call 0330 133 0380 (or +44 330 133 0380 if you’re abroad). REF: L3GB.

Got a text supposedly from Lloyds bank, saying they wanted to check if I'd updated my info and to call that number if not. Thing is, I haven’t been a Lloyds customer for well over ten years, so I was half tempted to ring and find out why they still had my details. But the number they gave looked nothing like the legit Lloyds customer service number you find online, so I gave it a miss. Honestly, I’d steer clear of that number and maybe report it to Lloyds or your phone provider so they can block it.

Just got a call from 07519 218951 - second time now. The voicemail said something about a Lloyds debit of £179.99 to ASDA being confirmed. If it wasn’t me, they told me to ring 0330 133 0380 (or +44 330 133 0380 if I’m abroad). I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

The message said to ring 0330 133 0380 if I didn’t make the changes. I didn’t bother calling because it smelled like a scam. I’ve reported the number and blocked it straight away.
