This call was clearly a con - I'm with O2 myself and at first, I was caught out by it. They send a one-time code that’s actually for resetting security questions and it really does look like a legit message from O2. I stupidly read the code out over the phone before noticing the message warned not to share this code with anyone, even O2 employees. As soon as I twigged, I ended the call and didn’t give them any more info. Then I got in touch with O2 straight away and they helped me sort everything on my account securely.
