Definitely a scam! I got in touch with TalkTalk just to check, and they told me they haven’t called me at all. I actually cancelled my TalkTalk service a fortnight ago, so this call seemed very convincing. But no doubt about it - it’s a total scam, 100%!

I haven’t picked up when they ring, seems like they keep calling me loads every day. I ended up cancelling my broadband with Talk Talk just the other day.

A chap rang saying he was from TalkTalk and wanted to know why I decided to cancel my contract. It didn’t sound like the normal customer service stuff, so I was a bit wary straight away. The call was over in under 20 seconds. When I told him I’d moved away and wasn’t the account holder anymore, you could hear him lose interest and he ended the call sharpish. I reckon he was trying to pull some kind of scam, maybe offering a “better deal” to keep me with them since I’d ended the account.

Got a bloke on the phone saying he’s from Talktalk, asking all sorts like why I’m quitting, if it’s to do with prices, switching to another provider, or if I’m moving out. My phone flagged it as suspicious, so no chance I was gonna share if the place might be left empty. He then wondered how he knew I was leaving if he wasn’t really from Talktalk. Didn’t Talktalk have some kind of data leak? And surely he should’ve rung the landline, which isn’t getting cut off for another month anyway.

Didn’t get a voicemail or anything. Like loads of people have said, I ended up ditching TalkTalk recently. I’m guessing this call’s them hoping I’ll reconsider my decision. A bloke called saying he was from TalkTalk and asked for my email address and password. I told him to just send me an email first, then I’d know what my own email was. He called me rude for that and then just ended the call.

This was definitely a scam call pretending to be from HMRC. Best thing to do is just ignore it and delete the message. Don’t waste your time!

Might be TalkTalk, since we're switching internet providers atm. After getting the call, I recalled TalkTalk once said their call centre only takes incoming calls. We’re gonna stick to changing providers, but if we decide to go back, we did get a letter from TalkTalk with a different phone number on it, defo not 03301278902.

Got a call from talktalk asking if I wanted to switch my broadband provider. They started asking for answers to my security questions but I didn’t hang about and just cut the call off. Not sure if it was legit or not, but it definitely felt off. Could be one of those scam calls, so watch out!

some bloke rang me saying he was from talktalk's cancellation dept. wanted my account details but couldn’t show any proof he really worked there. I asked him "what proof have i got you're actually from talktalk?" and he goes, "how else would I know you’re cancelling? even scammers know this." then he just hung up on me. sounds fishy if you ask me.

Got a call from a woman saying she was with TalkTalk's retention squad, claiming I wanted to cancel. I had been thinking of quitting because of the recent price hike, but after they gave me a nicer offer, I chose to remain, and everything was settled. She then asked for my TalkTalk password, which I didn't give her. She said sorry and hung up after that.
