7 yearsGot a text from an unknown number saying I should get in touch with Barclays fraud team regarding a £950 payment to some company I’ve never heard of. I called the number back just to check, but it quickly became obvious it was a scam or phishing attempt. After that, I got in touch with the real Barclays fraud department to let them know what happened. Definitely don’t respond to texts or calls from that number - it’s a total con.BarclaysNOT8 yearsI got a call from someone talking about life insurance and some kind of tax on it, though I’m pretty sure I don’t have any life insurance. They had my full name, address and postcode. They even asked if I smoked and some health-related questions, like if I was on any medication and why. I said I didn’t want to share that, and they just said goodbye and hung up. I’m not really sure what they wanted. Does anyone know anything about this number?
