Some bloke rang me today from this number, real pushy bloke, trying to sell me a cheaper gas deal. He claimed he was from British Gas and kept throwing in 'Look...' like I was an idiot or something. When I told him I wasn’t up for it, he just got more insistent, saying he’d set up an appointment for me soon anyway. I told him straight, I didn’t appreciate his attitude, I’d already said No, and I wasn’t going to change my mind. Then I just ended the call.

I picked up the phone but stayed quiet. A bloke’s voice came through, so I asked straight away who he was. Instead of answering, he just hung up. He also rang me yesterday but from another number. The call was only about 9 seconds long. I’ve gone ahead and blocked that number now.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with British Gas, offering a free call to show how much I could save by moving over to them. It’s clear it’s a con since I’m already with British Gas. When I asked him straight if he really worked there, he quickly switched topics. When I kept pressing, he paused for a bit and finally said yes, but it felt dodgy.
